VR Chair 360 — two-seat rotating cinema

Two guests sit side by side inside a closed cabin that turns through 360 degrees. The seats tilt and vibrate with the film, and wind and audio are released inside the cabin at the moments the film calls for them.

The cabin is the visible part: a transparent canopy shows the two seats turning, which is what stops people in a corridor. The whole unit stands on 8.64 m² and draws one 220 V supply at 3,200 W.

  • 360 degrees. The platform turns through a full rotation, matched to the camera in the film.
  • Two seats, one cabin. A pair rides together rather than queueing separately.
  • 12+ titles installed. Selected from a touchscreen at the operator station.

01 / Overview

What a VR chair 360 is

A 360 chair is a seated cinema where the seat does the moving. Two guests sit in a cabin that rotates through a full turn while the seats tilt and vibrate, so the motion a guest sees in the headset is matched by the motion of the chair underneath. It is a group format in the smallest sense that matters: a pair rides together, and the pair is the booking.

The cabin is closed and glazed, which does two things. It keeps the surrounding hall from competing with the film, and it lets everyone outside watch the seats turn — which is the reason this unit is usually placed where the floor is busiest rather than tucked into a corner.

02 / Watch a session

Boarding, harness check, and the rotation

The clip shows a cabin in use: two guests taking the seats, the harnesses checked, the canopy closed, then the platform turning through the film. Watch the timing between groups as much as the ride itself — the interval is set by the harness check, not by the film length, so it is the number to plan staffing around.

The cycle runs as follows.

Boarding. Two guests take the seats and the shoulder and lap harnesses are fastened.
Check. The attendant confirms both harnesses are locked before the motion sequence can start.
Title. The operator selects the film at the station; the selection changes per session without a restart.
Ride. The canopy closes, the platform turns, and the seat motion, wind and audio follow the film.
Turnaround. Harnesses release, the pair exits, and the next two board.

03 / Rotation and effects

What the 360 platform adds, and what the cabin does

A seat that only tilts asks the guest to accept the turn on screen. Here the whole platform rotates, so a corner is felt as a turn rather than as a lean. On a coaster film that difference is the product: the guest is not watching a descent, they are dropping into it with the chair.

On top of rotation, the cabin carries the effects that a bare seat cannot: wind released at speed, vibration at impact, and audio that stays inside the cabin instead of spilling across the floor. Two neighbouring units can therefore run at once without competing, which matters on a busy arcade floor.

Full rotation

The platform turns through 360 degrees, matched to the camera in the film.

Seat motion

Tilt and vibration driven by the platform, not by a looping animation.

In-cabin effects

Wind and spatial audio released inside the cabin, contained by the canopy.

Glazed canopy

Keeps the hall out and lets people outside watch the seats turn.

04 / Space and power

Footprint, weight and supply

The unit measures 3,600 mm wide, 2,400 mm deep and 2,100 mm high, with an occupied area of 8.64 m² and a net weight of 950 kg. Weight is the number to check first: at close to a tonne, the floor loading and the delivery route decide whether a position is viable before the footprint does.

Power is one 220 V supply at 3,200 W, which covers the rotation drive and the effects. The electrical design is signed off by your licensed electrician and we supply the load figures; the position also needs clearance in front of the cabin for boarding and for the queue.

Placement examples are on the solutions page; the smaller two-seat VR egg chair is the option when the floor cannot carry a tonne.

05 / Titles

The installed library

More than twelve titles ship installed, covering roller coasters, deep-sea descents, space flight, horror escape scenarios and scenic flights. They are selected per session from a touchscreen at the operator station, so the same cabin can run a gentle scenic film for a family and a coaster for a group of teenagers without a restart.

The spread matters commercially: a library with only high-intensity titles narrows the audience to teenagers, and a library with only gentle titles stops drawing repeat visits. Title selection and language options are confirmed at the quotation stage.

What operators say about the VR chair 360

At 950 kg this is a floor-loading decision before it is a footprint decision. Check the slab and the lift first.

LEKE VR install team, Guangzhou
★★★★★

Pairs book it, not singles. Two friends sit together and the cabin turning is what pulls the next pair over.

Cristina V., arcade manager, Barcelona

The glazed canopy is doing the marketing. People stop because they can see the seats turn, not because of a sign.

★★★★☆

Rotation is convincing and the harness check is quick. Titles matter more than we expected — we change them by time of day.
